Running/Bike Trails

Rock Creek Park - Wooded trails located behind McDonough Gymnasium. Tends to be a bit rocky for bicycles or runners with weak ankles. Trails go on for miles. To get there from campus, walk down to M Street and head towards the Key Bridge. M becomes Canal Road. Walk down Canal Road towards the back HOYA/SAXA driveway entrance. Trail is on your right. To get to the Tow path from here, take path just before wooded trail, going under Canal Road.

Tow Path - located along the Potomac River, paved path along river below, and gravel path above along canal. To get there, walk all the way down 35th and M Streets down by the canal. Head towards the Key Bridge.

Trail towards Roosevelt Island / National Airport - scenic, paved path - To get there from campus, cross the left side of the Key Bridge and follow the path to your left immediately after crossing the bridge. Bridge to Roosevelt Island will be to your left about 1/4 mile from entrance.
