Village C was built in 1986 and is comprised of two separate wings,
East and West. Village C West houses first year students. Village C
East houses Upperclass students. Rooms are double occupancy and each
has a private bathroom. Floors are generally coed, although some of the
floors are single sex. The Department of Public Safety (DPS) and the
Georgetown Emergency Response Medical Service (GERMS) offices are
located at the base of the Village C West building. DPS is the campus
police force and GERMS is a student-operated EMT service. |
General Information
- Village C is comprised of two buildings, East & West. The
X and Y Wings are located in Village C West, while the Z Wing is
situated in Village C East. Since the complex is built on a hill, the
entry level is on the fourth floor.
- Both buildings have double occupancy rooms. Each room has a
private bath.
- Chaplains-in-Residence are located on the eighth floor of the
X and Y wings, and on the tenth floor of the Z Wing.
- Computer labs are located on the 5th floor of the X Wing and
the 2nd floor of the Z Wing. Each of the other floors has a furnished
community room. Laundry facilities are located on the third floor of
Village C East, and mail facilities are located in the lobbies of each
building.
- Most rooms accommodate two students and are furnished with
bunkable beds, two built-in desks with chairs, and two wardrobes. A
shelf, the length of the room, is mounted on the wall over one of the
beds. Each room is carpeted.
- HoyaNet cable service is available for a small activation and
monthly service fee. A cable-ready television set is required.
- Rooms are wired with one data connection per student, giving
students access to the local area network and to the Internet.
- Rooms have two telephone jacks.
- The Residence Hall Office (RHO) is located on the fourth floor
of Village C West. The RHO handles package delivery, lockouts and room
check-in for Village C and Harbin residents.
