New South Information

New South New South Hall

New South Hall opened in 1959. The Old South building stood on the south end of the Quadrangle from 1789 until 1903, until replaced by Ryan Hall. At the time of its construction, the residence hall became the “southernmost” building on the main campus. Therefore it was called “New South.”  A full renovation of the building was completed in 2004.

Adjacent to New South Hall is the Village A apartment complex. Its typical college-style layout of long hallways and community bathrooms provides a very social atmosphere for first-year students.
