McCarthy, Kennedy, and Reynolds Halls opened in the fall of 2003. The buildings are named for J. Thomas McCarthy, Elizabeth and John R. Kennedy and the family of Thomas A. Reynolds, Sr., respectively. The buildings primarily house upperclass students. The building has single, double and triple rooms. Floors are coed. The buildings are part of the Southwest Quadrangle complex which also houses the Leo O'Donovan Dining Hall, Wolfington Hall Jesuit Residence, Hoya Snaxa - a student run store, and a multi-level underground garage.

- The individual buildings are connected on the first floor but are separated on floors above the first level creating three individual buildings in one.
- Residents of these buildings share common areas such as mailboxes, recreation rooms, reading rooms, multipurpose rooms and a laundry room.
- Each building has its own hall director, Faculty-in-Residence and Chaplain-in-Residence.
- Single rooms vary in size from approximately 118 to 130 square feet. Double and triple rooms vary in size from approximately 183 to 247 square feet. Each room contains moveable furniture for the number of residents assigned to that room including a desk with hutch and chair. The rooms also have a built in entertainment center, closets and drawer space.
- Community rooms are located on each floor and they contain a full kitchen, TV and lounge furniture.
- Each room has a data network jack wired for each resident. MKR has wireless data/internet access.
- The Residence Hall Office (RHO) is located on the lobby level of Kennedy. The RHO handles package delivery, lockouts and room
check-in for Kennedy, McCarthy and Reynolds residents.
