Henle Information

Henle

Henle Village, located across from the Leavey Center
and neighboring Darnall Hall, is an apartment complex
housing sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Henle
Village was named for long serving President Robert
Henle, S.J. While there are a few four-person units,
the majority of the apartments are for five people. At
the end of Henle closest to the Leavey Student Center
is an enclosed courtyard area. It has earned the
nickname "the Fishbowl" because of the way the
buildings surround the area.

General Information
  • The complex consists of four- and five-person apartments arranged in stairwells of six to eight apartments. A few apartments on the ground level have doors that open to a patio.
  • The layout of a Henle apartment varies. However, each apartment has a kitchen and a larger living room. The kitchen conveniences include an electric range, double sink with disposal, spacious cabinets and drawers, and a full size refrigerator with freezer. Students usually place the dining room table and chairs between the kitchen area and the living room.
  • The living room is furnished with a large shelf unit, a double-door wardrobe, a sofa and two easy chairs, two lamps, a coffee table and end table.
  • The bedrooms and bathrooms are located either upstairs or downstairs from the main level. In five person apartments, there are two double rooms and one single room. In four person apartments, there are either two double rooms or one double room and two single rooms.
  • Each student has a bunkable bed, a small three drawer dresser, a desk with hutch, and a closet with overhead storage space. The hutches do not have built-in lights, so Henle residents are advised to supply their own desk lights.
  • HoyaNet cable is available for a small activation fee and a monthly service fee. A cable-ready television set is required. The apartments contain one phone jack in the living room and one in each bedroom.
  • Rooms are wired with one data connection per student, giving students access to the local area network and to the Internet.
  • The Residence Hall Office (RHO) which provides service to Henle is located in nearby Darnall Hall. The RHO handles package delivery, lockouts and room check-in for Darnall and Henle residents.
