Darnall

Dedicated to Eleanor Darnall, the mother of Georgetown University founder John Carroll, the residence hall opened in September 1965. The building is located beside the Henle Village complex. The University hospital is located directly across the parking lot from Darnall Hall.

General Information
  • There are six floors with double occupancy rooms on each. Each floor has two large common bathrooms and a furnished community room with a kitchen.
  • A typical Darnall room is 16.5 feet in length and 10.5 feet in width. Each room is furnished with two built-in desks with chairs and shelving units, beds, and closets. Window blinds and carpeting are also included.
  • Laundry facilities are located on the ground floor. Mail facilities and vending machines are located on the lobby level.
  • HoyaNet cable is available for a small activation fee and a monthly service fee. A cable-ready television set is required.
  • Rooms are wired with one data connection per student, giving students access to the local area network and to the Internet. Rooms also include two phone jacks.
  • The Residence Hall Office (RHO) is located on the main level. The RHO handles package delivery, lockouts and room check-in for Darnall and Henle residents.
