Minor Guest Registration

Georgetown University is committed to the safety of all individuals in its community. The University has particular concern for those who are potentially vulnerable, including minor children (those under age 18), who require special attention and protection.

Per Georgetown University’s Minor Guest Policy, guests under the age of 16 are not permitted in University-owned student housing at any time unless they are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Guests who are 16 or 17 years of age are permitted to stay overnight in University-owned student housing with written permission from a legal parent or guardian. Minor guests may not stay for more than three (3) consecutive nights on campus.

By signing and submitting this Permission Form to Georgetown University, I authorize that my child (named above) has my permission to enter the residence of his/her student host (named above) and stay during the dates indicated.

I understand that the University has the right to remove my child from University grounds, facilities, and services at any time for any reason. I further understand that my child is expected to abide by all Georgetown University policies and procedures and that any failure by my child to comply with these policies and procedures may result in removal from the residence where he/she is staying and/or removal from University grounds, facilities, and services. I also understand that in such instances, Georgetown University is not responsible for any travel, meal or lodging costs that are incurred.

I understand that University residences are intended to house University students and there are certain risks inherent in my child being present on a University campus and in a University residence. I knowingly and voluntarily agree, on behalf of myself, my child, my family, heirs, and personal representative(s) to assume all risks and responsibilities surrounding my child’s visit and/or overnight stay in the University residence. I hereby release and hold harmless Georgetown, its employees, officers, agents, administrators, volunteers and students from all other claims, actions, causes of action, suits, judgments and demands.

With this understanding, I hereby grant permission for my child named above to visit and/or stay overnight in a Georgetown University residence. By signing this Permission Form, I attest that the information above is true and accurate.
