Dear students,
Welcome (back) to Georgetown!
As you settle in to your on-campus residence, you should take a few minutes
to document its condition on the online Residence Condition Report (RCR)
All campus residents are required to view their online RCR and update it
as necessary by 11:59 pm on Friday, September 11. The system will record
whether or not each resident has viewed the RCR. It is important to
thoroughly document the condition of your residence, as the Residence
Life staff will compare move-in condition to the condition at move-out
and charge for any replacement/damages accordingly.
Take the time to be very thorough when completing your RCR. Do not rely
on your roommate(s) to do it for you. At the end of the year, the online
RCR will be used as the baseline if there are questions about whether or not
a damage or replacement fee is warranted. If the condition of the residence
is not supported under the move-in section on the online RCR, the damage or
replacement fee at the end of the year will remain in place.
After Friday, September 11, you will be able to view the RCR and use it to report
any further maintenance requests, but you will not be able to update the move-in
condition.
The link to the RCR can be found on your Housing-at-a-Glance page
(http://housing.georgetown.edu/academic/glance). Enter your netID and
password to view your Housing-at-a-Glance page.
Instructions are provided with the online form. Any student who switches
or adds into a residence after the beginning of the semester will be
required to view the RCR for his/her new residence within three days of
the move-in date.
If you have any questions about the online RCR process, please contact
Housing Operations at 202-687-3001 or housingops@georgetown.edu
Sincerely,
Housing Operations
