Dear Study Abroad Students:
The following information is being provided to assist you in obtaining housing for the Spring 2008 Semester, and to notify you of the Housing Selection process for the 2008-2009 academic year.
If you will be returning for the Spring 2008 Semester and would like to request on-campus housing, please see the following website for sign up information:
http://housing.georgetown.edu/academic/index.cfm?fuse=saloa
When your information has been received, we will add your name to the Spring 2008 wait list. If you have already provided your information, you do not have to resubmit this information. Assignments will occur in late November and students will be notified via email in December of their assignment through their Housing-at-a-Glance page found at http://housing.georgetown.edu/academic.
If you will be participating in Housing Selection for the 2008-2009 academic year, please note the following dates and instructions:
Beginning October 9, 2007 through October 15 at noon EDT, the Classes of 2009 and 2010 can begin signing up for eligibility online at their Housing-at-a-Glance page. Eligibility results will be posted on October 17 by 12:00 p.m. EDT.
For those students who are determined eligible, selection periods for the Classes of 2009 and 2010 are as follows:
October 22, 2007: Sign-up for Singles Selection
October 24, 2007: Sign-up for Singles Selection ends
October 27, 2007: Singles Selection
November 05, 2007: Sign-up for Apartment/Suite Selection
November 07, 2007: Sign-up for Apartment/Suite Selection ends

The housing application and selection will be held online. All students will be assigned a unique Housing Selection Code which will be used throughout the housing application and selection process. If you are a member of a group, you will need to give your code to the sponsor of your group so that the sponsor can make housing arrangements for you. If you plan to select housing from abroad, please be aware that you are given a specific time to select housing, so you would have to have computer access during that time frame.
*Please refer to the Housing Selection Calendar and Handbook on our website at http://housing.georgetown.edu/academic for more dates and detailed information about signing up for eligibility and the selection process. Please also see the information on our website under the heading "Information for Study Abroad and Leave of Absence Students," for any other necessary forms we might require from you.
Please check your Georgetown email account and the Housing web site as often as possible while you are abroad for updates on the housing selection process. If you have any questions, please send an email to: campushousing@georgetown.edu.
Sincerely,
