Students who are authorized to select are advised to access the above address one time prior to Saturday to make sure they have no difficulty accessing the site. If you have any difficulty, please contact the Housing Office immediately at (202) 687 4560.
Students in groups of one or two will only be able to select between residence halls and vacancies in partially filled apartments. A group of one can only select a vacant room on a floor if there is not another partially occupied room on that floor. Students in groups of four will only be able to select among completely vacant apartments and Copley suites.
Selection can be made any time after your selection time until 9:00 a.m. on Monday, December 3, 2007.
Important notes:
The watch list feature will not be available during this phase of selection.
Sponsors should, prior to Saturday, verify that they can access the selection system by following the link on their Housing-at-a-Glance system.
We have implemented a new measure to minimize server traffic during selection. Each group will only be able to access the selection system from a single computer. The first time the sponsor access the selection system on Saturday, the system will note the internet address of that computer. Any attempt to access the system from a different internet address will be blocked. If, in the case of a computer/browser problem or other unforeseen circumstance, the group needs to
move to a different computer, the sponsor should contact the Housing Office and we will be able to clear the computer registration for that group quickly.
Students are advised to thoroughly read the written description of the selection system at http://housing.georgetown.edu/academic/selection/index.cfm?fuse=description. Be sure to pay special attention to the Time Issues, Browser Requirements, Performance Tips and Disclaimers sections.
Students are also encouraged to familiarize themselves with the operation of the selection system by working with the online selection system demonstration, linked from your Housing at a Glance page.
Students who are uncomfortable making their selection online on their own on Saturday may report to the Housing Office in 103 Harbin Hall 30 minutes before their selection time for assistance. The Housing staff will be available to answer questions and provide assistance on Saturday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon.
